KneeKG APP+

Post-TKA Therapeutic Program

Introducing the capability to generate in the client portal a new phased therapeutic program design specifically for patients that underwent a Knee Kinesiography exam Post Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) surgery. This structured program improves therapeutic planning and supports progressive recovery by addressing the personalized findings of the KneeKG for post-operative TKA patients.

This new therapeutic program is generated using the same dropdown menu used to generate Reports. Upon selecting the option to generate a Therapeutic Program, users will be prompted to choose between the post-TKA Therapeutic Program and other programs from an additional dropdown menu, as shown below.

Once the post-TKA Therapeutic Program program is generated, four icons labeled TP1, TP2, TP3 and TP4 (Therapeutic Program Phase #) will appear next to the corresponding trial in the patient’s record on the KneeKG APP+. Clicking on any of these icons will open a pdf version of that phase of the Therapeutic Program.

To make it easier to directly access a patient’s therapeutic profile, we’ve added an ‘Open Patient Therapeutics’ button to the Patient Record page in the KneeKG App+ (see example below). This feature is only available for clients with an integration to the Therapeutics platform.

Therapeutic Program

Users can now generate two specific Therapeutic Programs directly through the KneeKG APP+. These include the diagnostic-specific Patellofemoral Pain Phased program (PFP), and for more athletic patients, the Advanced Orthopedic Phased program (AOP). Both programs will have three phases that progress in difficulty.

Users can still access and import the same therapeutic program historically given to patients by following their established workflow, and will continue to have the same capabilities as always to edit and send the program to patients from the Therapeutics tab in the Client Portal menu.

These two new therapeutic programs are generated using the same dropdown menu used to generate Reports. Upon selecting the option to generate a Therapeutic Program, users will be prompted to choose between the AOP and PFP from an additional dropdown menu, as shown below.

Once the AOP or PFP program is generated, three icons labeled TP1, TP2 and TP3 (Therapeutic Program Phase #) will appear next to the corresponding trial in the patient’s record on the KneeKG APP+. Clicking on any of these icons will open a pdf version of that phase of the Therapeutic Program.

MINOR BUG FIXES

Some minor bugs have been addressed to improve stability, performance and security.

Learn about new features and enhancements released on September 22nd, 2023 on all servers (version 2.11).

Please take the time to review the user manual explaining in details all features of the client portal. The release below provides an overview of the changes.

KneeKG APP+

Kinematic Profile Reports

KneeKG APP+ now allows the user to compare up to four trials in one Kinematic Profile Report.

Once the Kinematic Profile Report is chosen from the drop-down menu, the user can simply select the trials they wish to compare from the same patient (up to a total of four). Each trial selected for comparison will be shown in the trials box. The user may also choose to show a reference comparison curve in the Flexion/Extension graph. They may do so using one of the drop-down menus in the trials box.

Once the user selects all the trials they wish to display on the graphs of the Kinematic Profile Report and click on the “Generate Report” button, KneeKG APP+ will transition to viewing all curves as shown below:

Triage Arthroplasty Report Warning message

KneeKG APP+ now notifies the user that the Triage Arthroplasty Report tool is only applicable for patients with a confirmed clinical diagnosis of severe osteoarthritis and prompts the user to acknowledge the notification before generating the report.

Editing Consultation Reports

KneeKG APP+ no longer allows users to overwrite signed Consultation Reports, unless that user is the original author of the Consultation Report.

If a new author attempts to edit a signed Consultation Report, KneeKG APP+ will keep the original report and save the edited report as a new copy with the new author’s signature.

Example: The user attempts to edit a Consultation Report signed by another user.

All files and reports can be found in the Reports and Files tab of the patient:

When opening a completed Consultation Report, the signature of the original author can be seen at the bottom of the first page (Erick Philippeaux).

When the user attempts to edit and sign the consultation report:

KneeKG App+ starts a new draft and allows the new author to sign the new copy:

Once the new author completes editing the report, the new copy of the Consultation Report can be found in the Reports and Files tab of the patient with the signature of the new author.

MINOR BUG FIXES

Some minor bugs have been fixed to improve the stability, performance and security, such as:

  • Removing unnecessary pop-ups when transitioning back from steps 5 and 4, of the Consultation Report generation workflow when no checkboxes and checked.
  • Report generation warning messages updates.
  • Units change in the AP tibial translation curve of the Kinematic Profile Report (from degrees to mm).

Learn about new features and enhancements released on August 10th, 2023 on all servers (version 2.10).

Please take the time to review the user manual explaining in details all features of the client portal. The release below provides an overview of the changes.

KneeKG APP+

All the reports, that get generated by KneeKG APP+, now display the patient’s name that is stored in the database shared between KneeKG APP+ and Knee3D Clinical-Info software.
Hence, there is no need for the user to push data to the cloud once again for the change in the patient’s name to be visible in newly generated reports in KneeKG APP+.

Example: Misspell in the patient’s first name:

  • The user misspelled the patient’s first name when it was first entered on Knee3D Clinical-Info software (user typed “Sam” instead of “Samy”).

  • When generating KneeKG reports, the reports will display the misspelled patient’s name that was entered on Knee3D Clinical-Info software (Sam).

Editing the patient’s first name on Knee3D Clinical-Info software and saving it:

  • The user can log into Knee3D Clinical-Info software, edit the misspelled patient’s name and click on the Save button:

  • When generating new KneeKG reports on KneeKG APP+, the new reports will display the patient’s name edited by the user on Knee3D Clinical-Info software (Samy), yet the previously generated PDF reports will still display the misspelled patient’s first name (Sam). Users can delete these previous reports with the misspelled name by going into the “Reports and Files” tab in the patient file.

MINOR BUG FIXES

Some minor bugs have been addressed to improve stability and performance of the solution.

Learn about new features and enhancements released on July 25th, 2023 on all servers (version 2.9).

Please take the time to review the user manual explaining in details all features of the client portal. The release below provides an overview of the changes.

KneeKG APP+

Biomechanical Markers Report and the Kinematic Profile Report are now automatically generated

When a patient profile is loaded, the Biomechanical Markers Report and the Kinematic Profile Report are now generated automatically for the latest consultation (if they were not already generated).
These reports are generated specifically for one consultation. However, users can generate additional BM and KP reports that include comparison with another trial or a reference curve for the Kinematic Profile Report.

2FA – Two-factor authentication can be stored on the device for 30 days

If the two-factor authentication is activated for your clinic to access the client portal, a new checkbox now lets you activate a “remember this device” for 30 days. Once done, the portal will not ask for two-factor authentication at the login page for the next 30 days.

OA reports and Biomechanical Markers reports: Consistency in the column names in the reports with a comparison

When comparing different trials in the OA Report and the Biomechanical Markers Report, the column headings have been modified so that they are consistent regardless of the comparison being made, e.g., comparing left knee to right knee, comparing trials with different consultation dates or comparing trials with different movement types.

Consultation Report: Referring doctor name pre-filled if it has been entered in Knee3D Clinical-Info

The doctor’s name will be automatically pre-filled in the Consultation Report in KneeKG App+ if it was previously entered into Knee3D Clinical-Info under the General Consultation tab.

You will always be able to modify this data if necessary in Step 1 of the Consultation Report in KneeKG App+.
